At the end of September I visited Bert & May Showroom to see first-hand the result of their collaboration with Darkroom in a range of amazingly simplistic and statement-making tiles. Their design celebrates the beauty of three geometric shapes: the circle, the square and the triangle. Could it get any better? Erm, yes... They come in a distinctive monochrome palette with a flash of blue. And they are as amazing as they sound!
Before we look at the collection, here's some background on Bert & May and Darkroom in case you don't know them yet...
Bert & May is a lifestyle brand which started in 2004 in Spain as a reclaimed tile company. Now they supply the most stunning artisan tiles, engineered wood, natural pigment paints, timber furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, fabrics and brassware fittings.
Darkroom is a design store and brand based in London selling really cool lifestyle accessories, from textiles to jewellery, from planters to cutting boards!
And here's Split Shift, the result of their collaboration:
Fabulous tiles in three different combinations and two different colours that can be arranged according to your creativity
The barge patio covered in Split Shift tiles
The blue Split Shift bathroom in the barge
I love the handmade look of these tiles, and the perfect shade of blue
The tiles are also sold separately
Stunning bedding featuring the new design
Dice cushion and Split Shift bedding
Cutting boards and candles by Darkroom - I want them all!
Split Shift tiles and storage jars by Darkroom
Brick tea towel detail
And after a good tour of the barge, I explored more of Bert & May Showroom. There is so much to love!

Dream concrete sink, brass fixtures and mirrors!
Concrete shower wall + statement floor tiles
The dark feature, just as stunning!
I have a crush on these tiles now...
If you're around Bert & May Showroom anytime soon, make sure you check it out. Their tiles and designs made me change my mind on the choices for my bathroom makeover just about 3647584 times. Thank goodness it's been delayed so I can include some of this awesomeness in it!
