A few weeks ago I shared my inspiration for a picture shelf and my lounge decorating plans. After some shopping and dyi-ing and much re-arranging I am finally happy to reveal the picture shelf. It makes the room feel complete at last!
So here's the final result...
The floating shelf is 3.3m wall to wall, and has been painted the same colour as the walls. I customised the frames with some wallpaper, washi tape and gold paint (I'll share those in a separate post). Most of the photos were from our bump to baby photo shoots and are all so special to us, which makes the room look and feel personal instead of show-homey! The canvas is by Oliver Gal, bought at a Joss & Main sale.
I was so pleased with it, it inspired me to re-style our bookcase as well. Now I just need new curtains and blinds, and a new rug, and the transformation will be done :)
